One Month Old!

Lucy is one month old today!

This last month has flown by...after spending the first two weeks in the NICU, we have had two weeks at home to begin adjusting to our new foursome.  John and I are figuring out the rhythm of our days at home with Lucy.  Some days are smoother than others...I figure as long as everyone has a full tummy and a clean diaper, we're good!  We have ventured out for grocery shopping and story time at the library and have enjoyed a few more summer afternoons at the pool.  We even managed two playgroups last week!   

Lucy is a stellar eater and sleeper.  She is stretching up to four hours at night and takes great naps during the day.  She loves to be awake late at night though.  In fact, she's up right now...she might turn out to be a night owl like her Mama.  She is so alert and bright eyed when she's awake!  I love watching her look around and take things in, especially when John talks or sings to her.  John is loving his little sister!  He likes to know where she is all the time (he asks "where my Lucy??" and peeks around for her if I'm not holding her).  He holds her every now and then, but promptly announces "all done!" and holds up his hands when he wants to get up and move again!

We have our official one month check up on Friday, but as of last weekend, Lucy was up to 6 lbs, 9 oz.  She is off to a great start!
